Dr. Frederick Ferguson is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Center for Aerospace Research at North Carolina A&T State University. He received his M.S. in Physics and Math from Kharkov State University and his Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Dr. Ferguson's research interests include Aerothermodynamics for Space Vehicle Ascent and Re-entry, Hypersonic Vehicle and Space Propulsion Systems, GUI Designs, Algorithms and Grid-Generation for Computational Fluid Dynamics, Weakly Ionized Plasma & Magnetohydrodynamics, Soft Computing, Expert Systems and Extended Fuzzy Logics, Software Safty-Critical Systems Analysis, Expert Systems and Neural Networks, and Heat Transfer in Biological Tissues with Applications to Hyperthermia.
