Matthew Meyer, Associate Vice President for Innovation and Biotechnology of the NC Community College System, represents the newest member of the NC Space Grant Consortium.

A seasoned economic developer, he led BioNetwork for 3 years, taking the statewide initiative through successful strategic planning changes. Previous to this, Matt held the position as Dean of the Community College Workforce Alliance in Virginia. Before his move to Virginia, Matt moved quickly through the ranks at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in Western North Carolina, where he started as an instructor of Mechanical Engineering Technology. Within a year he became Chairperson of the department, moving on to Dean of Business & Industry Services, then subsequently became the Dean of Corporate and Economic Development.
