North Carolina Undergraduate Summer Research Symposium

The Fifth Annual North Carolina Undergraduate Summer Research Symposium will be held on Thursday, August 3 in the Jane S. McKimmon Center. Student poster presentations will be from 9:45 to 1:00. Over 125 undergraduates from across the country, including NC State, will present their summer research projects.

The entire university community is invited to attend to see the diversity of interesting research projects conducted at NC State over the summer and to show their support for the presenters who have worked so hard on their projects. Faculty and staff will have a chance to speak to top undergraduates from NC State and from across the United States whom they may wish to recruit into their graduate programs. Students will have the opportunity to get ideas on how to make a poster presentation on their own research for any conferences they may plan to attend in the future.

Most of the students making presentations are participants in formal summer research programs. However, undergraduates working on independent mentored research projects this summer are strongly encouraged to make a presentation at the symposium. Interested students should contact Alison Al-Baati by **NO LATER THAN JULY 7** at alison_albaati@ncsu.edu or 513-0005. You will receive additional information on the Symposium in the next couple weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Ms. Al-Baati.
