Funding Opportunities

Each year NC Space Grant solicits proposals and applications from students to participate in the following programs:

Program	Description
Graduate Research Fellowship Program Due: Each Spring Max: $8,000	This program provides add-on support for graduate students to supplement and enhance STEM research experiences at university labs, NASA centers, or commercial facilities.
Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program Due: Each Spring Max: $7,000	This program engages the future STEM workforce in basic and/or applied aerospace-related research projects and facilitates the development of mentor relationship between students, faculty and the NASA community.
Undergraduate Scholarship Program Due: Each Spring Max: $1,000	The goal of this program is to promote undergraduate STEM-related research by assisting students with establishing relationships with student and faculty mentors early in their academic career.
Community College STEM Scholarship Program Due: Each Spring Max: $2,000	The goal of this scholarship program is to encourage students engaged in associate degree programs to pursue studies in math, engineering, science fields that are essential to America’s industrial and technological competitiveness.
NC Space Grant/J. Donald Cline Astronomy Scholarship Due: Each Spring Max: $9,000	In order to meet the increasing demand for a highly-skilled aerospace-related workforce, the NC Space Grant/J. Donald Cline Astronomy Scholarship was established in 2007 to provide support for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the astronomical or related sciences at a NC Space Grant member university.
NC Space Grant/LORD Corporation Scholarship Due: Each Spring Max: $9,500	The NC Space Grant has partnered with the Lord Corporation to establish a summer internship program to give students real-world experiences in a cutting-edge industrial setting.
NASA Internship Opportunities Due: Each Spring Amount Varies	Students may explore and experience unique space and aeronautics content through NASA's education opportunities for higher education.
