Development of Ground-Based, Two-Dimensional, Tethered Satellite Experiment Test Facility Prototype

The purpose of this project is to examine the feasibility of developing a ground-based test facility for investigating the dynamics of tethered-satellite systems. This wil be accomplished by building a prototype system using low-cost materials; then the lessons learned from this investigation can be used as the bassis for a research proposal seeking funds for a more sophisticated system.
